The human microbiome is the unique makeup of microbes that each of us has on our bodies. It is established during the early years of life but is constantly responding to external factors in our day-to-day lives, such as exercise, our environment, the food we eat, and the medication we take. The average young adult male has an estimated 38 trillion microbes living on the body but… where exactly are these microbes located?
