Anti-ageing’s antiquated view?

As reported in Reuters, the global anti-ageing market is expected to grow to more than $330 billion by 2021. Our quest for youthful skin is insatiable. That’s why the recent research by US Amway caught our eye.

The study identified two distinctive Corynebacteria species: one was associated with older and one with younger participants, replacing one another at middle age (40-49).

The two bacteria did not exist simultaneously. And the “old” Corynebacterium was associated with wrinkles, skin redness and age spots. Is the answer the industry has been looking for?
